French MMA Pioneer Cheick Kongo Challenges American Champion Ryan Bader
Bellator MMA is making a triumphant return to the Accor Arena in Paris on Saturday, May 17, 2024. Doors will open at 6 PM, and the main card will begin at 8 PM on DAZN.
French MMA legend Cheick Kongo will headline the event against Ryan Bader, the reigning Bellator Heavyweight Champion. Kongo, a pioneer of the sport in France, has been competing at the highest level for over two decades and holds notable victories over Mirko Cro Cop, Pat Barry, and Matt Mitrione.
Bader, meanwhile, is a two-time NCAA Division I All-American wrestler with a decorated career in mixed martial arts. He captured the Bellator Heavyweight Championship in 2019 and has successfully defended his belt twice since then.
