New Services Launched by EPFO
Digitalization of EPF Services
The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has launched several new online services for its members. These services include:
Mandatory WEB Filing of Nominations
Members are now required to file their nominations online as per paragraphs 33, 34, and 61 of the EPF Scheme 1952. This is also required for filing online death claims.
WEB Member Passbook Viewing
Members who are registered on the Unified Member Portal can now view their passbooks online. The passbook will be available after 6 hours of registration.
Member Home Web Page
Members can now access their EPF accounts, update their personal details, check their balance, and download their passbooks from the Member Home web page.
Mobile Application for Employers, Employees, and Pensioners
EPFO has also launched a mobile application that provides employers and members with the following facilities:
- Registering UAN-related queries
- Creating permanent login IDs and passwords
- Resetting forgotten passwords and login IDs
