D-backs' Gurriel Jr. comes off IL, hits tiebreaking HR

Los Angeles - Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. returned from the injured list on Friday, and he made an immediate impact.

Gurriel Jr., who was activated on Friday after missing two weeks with a hamstring injury, hit a tiebreaking home run in the eighth inning to give the Diamondbacks a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

It was Gurriel Jr.'s first home run since May 14, and it helped the Diamondbacks snap a four-game losing streak.

Gurriel Jr. went 2-for-4 with two RBIs in his return, and he also made a nice defensive play at third base in the seventh inning.

The Diamondbacks are now 23-27 this season, and they are in fourth place in the NL West.
