Injury Roundup Lions Wr Jameson Williams Ankle Expected To Play Vs Buccaneers

Injury Roundup: Lions WR Jameson Williams (ankle) expected to play vs. Buccaneers

Detroit Lions' wide receiver Jameson Williams is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Williams suffered a torn ACL in the Lions' Week 13 win over the Minnesota Vikings. He has been practicing with the team for the past two weeks and is expected to make his NFL debut on Sunday.

The Lions are hoping that Williams can provide a spark to their passing game. The Lions are currently 1-6 and are in last place in the NFC North. Williams is a dynamic playmaker who can take the top off of a defense with his speed. He could be a valuable addition to the Lions' offense, which has struggled to score points this season.

The Buccaneers are also dealing with some injuries. Quarterback Tom Brady is dealing with a thumb injury, and wide receiver Mike Evans is dealing with a hamstring injury. However, both players are expected to play on Sunday.

The Buccaneers are currently 3-4 and are in first place in the NFC South. They are coming off of a bye week, and they will be looking to start the second half of the season with a win.

The Lions and Buccaneers will face off on Sunday at 1:00 PM ET at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.
